Cala Violina beach is located in the heart of the Bandite di Scarlino Nature Reserve, a large forest complex between Castiglione della Pescaia and Follonica. The beach of Cala Violina is only 4.8 km from the hotel and can be reached on foot through a pleasant path in nature, but also by mountain bike or on horseback.
This paradisiacal beach is considered the most beautiful bay in all of Tuscany and since 2004 it has been annually awarded as one of the 11 most beautiful and unspoiled Italian beaches. It owes its name to the particular nature of the sand, white and fine, which, when walked on with bare feet, emits the sweet sound of a violin. It is also known for its transparent waters that allow you to appreciate seabeds of rare beauty, formed by banks of Posidonia Oceanica, sandstone boulders and fish of all colors and sizes.
From the beach you can enjoy spectacular views over the bay of Follonica and Punta Ala and on clear summer days you can admire the islands of Elba, Montecristo, Cerboli and, if you are lucky, the mountains of Corsica.
